Obituary for PDC Goodell's Father, Audrey Goodell

Audrey E. Goodell, age 94, of Mayville, Michigan, passed away on May 30, 2016. He was born on August 25, 1921, in Mayville, Michigan, to the late Mark & Mable Goodell. Mr. Goodell was a World War II Army Coastal Artillery Veteran, and retired from General Motors. Audrey was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening.
The grief that is being felt over the loss his long life is widespread and sincere. There was a daily beauty about his life which won every heart. In temperament he was mild, conciliatory and candid; and yet, remarkable for an uncompromising firmness. He gained confidence when he seemed least to seek it.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Ester Jean Goodell; son and daughter-in-law, Don & Penny Goodell of Dallas, GA grandchildren, Mark Audrey & Angela Marie Goodell, and Angela Sue Goodell; great-grandchild, Audrey Ethan Goodell; sister, Fritia Fivey of Wisconsin; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Michigan.
