Passing of Denny Leander

May 26, 2016

This past weekend we lost a good friend, Past Commander of American Legion Post 105 and District 4 Past Commander Denny Leander. Denny passed into to the arms of the Lord on May 21st @ 1130a at his home with his wife, Patsy, his American Legion family & neighbors by his side.

Post 105 has coordinated with Denny's wife Patsy and his daughter (from Iowa), a memorial service at Post 105, Log Cabin, 180 S. Glynn St, Fayetteville, GA 30214 on 24 June 2016, at 5:00 PM, to honor Denny and his 46 years of Legion service. (This date/time allows those in Iowa who wish to attend, time to make their travel arrangements.) Denny retired from the US Army/Ordinance Corps where he worked in Supply/Maintenance & Recruiting. Denny was honored last year (2015) at his Post as the member with the longest continuous Legion Service of 45 years.

Although The American Legion Department of GA Convention will be taking place at the same time, we hope those not attending the Convention or those who will be able to schedule a few hours away from the Convention, will be able to attend to pay their respects.

Cards & Condolences may be sent to Mrs Patsy Leander & family, 11957 Fairway Overlook, Fayetteville, GA 30215.

Denny you are missed!
