Call to Arms - Helton Flag Mission

Aug 9, 2013

***CALL TO ARMS***HELTON FLAG MISSION*** Everyone has probably heard the News Story of 92 year old Jim Helton who lives in the "Village of Spring Creek" in McDonough, GA. A US Air Force Veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam Jim has been ORDERED by his Home Owners Association not to fly his American Flag. This is only allowed on the 4th of July and he would be fined $25.00 a day if he were to break that rule. I just got off the telephone with both his Wife Louise and his Daughter and it seems that he is very depressed over this development and lonely to boot. If a large number of Riders showing their Flags could show up at his Home this Saturday it would cheer him up immensely. If we could have a large contingent of Patriotic Riders Stage at the Race Express Gas Station at 570 Highway 42 north, McDonough, GA. at 1200 on Saturday August 10th, 2013 with KSU at 1230 we could visit this American Hero and Cheer Him Up. Buford Post 127 American Legion Riders and any other interested Patriotic Riders will Stage that day at our Post at 2640 Sawnee Ave., Buford GA. 30518 at 1015 with KSU NLT 1030. Large Flags Welcome. I will also be letting Morse Diggs at Fox Atlanta know we are planning the visit. Hoping to see a large number of you fine folks there. We need to Support this Issue.

Ride Proud,
Ranger Bill Burgess
