32nd Annual Veterans Day Parade in Atlanta

Nov 7, 2013

It’s less a week away from the great community event. We invite you to come view the Veterans Day Parade at 11:11 am in downtown Atlanta.

In 2013, the Georgia Veterans Day Parade Association of Atlanta, Inc. (GVDPA) celebrates 32 years of positively impacting Georgia Veterans and the community with its mission - to honor, support and thank all who have served and are currently serving in our military. We accomplish these goals by hosting the Nation's largest Veterans Day Parade, promoting the truth that freedom is not free and exhibiting the belief of freedom through service.

Please join us in the streets of downtown Atlanta (Pemberton Place on Baker Street, besides the World of Coca Cola) on Saturday, November 9th, as we recognize and honor a special group of Veterans with this year’s theme: “Honoring our Korean War Veterans and All Who Preserved Freedom”. We are excited to showcase our community’s immense gratitude to these heroes and their enduring legacy with the annual Atlanta Veterans Day Parade. The parade pays tribute to roughly three-quarters of a million Georgia Veterans and their families.

Let us set this special day to honor these men and women and to pray that our nation’s memory of their service will never fade. Keep checking our website for news on additional events planned for Veterans Day 2013.

That evening, we present the highly anticipated annual Freedom Ball. With its breathtaking venue of the Oceans Ballroom at the Georgia Aquarium, we cap these events with our keynote speaker, parade and leadership awards, plus the big band era music of Les Still Swinging Band.

Our thanks to the Military Order of the Purple Heart Service Foundation, Inc. for their continued support in making this our best Veterans Day events yet.
